At Kindred Home Care, we believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves. Pride Month is a time for us to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, honor its history, and reaffirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all.
Why Pride Matters
Pride is more than a celebration—it’s a powerful reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality and acceptance. It’s about visibility, voice, and solidarity. For many in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, home is not always a safe or affirming space. As a provider of home care services, we recognize the importance of ensuring that every client and team member feels respected, supported, and free from discrimination.
What We’re Doing
Local Pride Participation
We’re encouraging staff to get involved in Pride events within their communities and to share photos and stories with the team. We’re also proud to mark our fourth consecutive year as a Silver Sponsor of the Saint John Pride Parade, taking place on August 16, 2025. In addition, Kindred is partnering with Saint John Pride to host a special seniors-focused event during the week of August 8–17. Stay tuned—more details will be shared soon!
Our Commitment
Inclusion is a year-round commitment at Kindred. Pride Month is one opportunity—among many—to celebrate, educate, and grow together. We are proud to stand with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and are dedicated to creating a workplace and a care environment where everyone belongs.
Happy Pride Month from all of us at Kindred Home Care.
