Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our team, our clients, and their families has been our number one priority. Together, we’ve worked diligently with our clients to follow and implement best practices that have allowed us to safely operate since the beginning of the pandemic.

With the escalation of COVID-19 cases across the province and increased public health measures implemented by the Government of New Brunswick, we recognized the need to enhance our own measures and protocols to keep our people and clients safe. Our clients are among New Brunswick’s most vulnerable population to the effects of COVID-19, and we take the responsibility of safely caring for them very seriously.

As part of our ongoing commitment, we have implemented a mandatory vaccination policy for all Kindred employees. This means our caregivers will be required to submit proof of vaccination in order to serve our clients. Frequent testing protocols will be in effect for those with accepted, documented exemptions. We will also continue to work with our teams to meet or exceed the latest public health recommendations, to do our part to keep our communities safe and minimize the spread of COVID-19. This includes continuous mask wearing and the use of other personal protection equipment, as well as increased hygienic practices like frequent handwashing, and sanitizing of medical and support devices.

Throughout this pandemic, our caregivers have shown great resilience and adaptability. They have faced continuous change and met every challenge – we couldn’t be prouder of how they have pivoted to provide the best level of care to our clients. Getting vaccinated is a fundamental way to fulfill our unwavering commitment to keep our communities and loved ones safe.

We will continue to overcome the challenges ahead, together.
